Rachel has a vast experience playing for wedding ceremonies as a solo violinist and ensemble player. Rachel has a broad range of traditional hymns as well as classical music pads. Clients are also free to choose their own music for any part of the event Ie. the bridal entrance / signing of the register. Rachel is also frequently asked to play for guest, bride and groom processions and recessions and at wedding drinks and meals receptions.
Rachel has extensive classical training and has experience playing classical music in events as back ground music. Popular events are for receptions and high market show homes.
Her versatile approach in her freelance work has involved working in the studio recording on albums as well as writing parts and perfroming on stage with both her classical and electric violin. Rachel has had the opportunity to work closely with Bev Bevan ELO drummer and other up and coming artists.
Rachel has a passion for the Bollywood scene. She has experience in playing in many Bollywood events and has an ever growing Bollywood music pad. The sets are performed with quality backing tracks. Rachel is frequently asked to play at the reception and the bridals entrance. If requested Rachel is able to wear asian attire. Electric violin is also an option.
Rachel has expanded her repertoire and playing by adding pop music as an option. Rachel has an extensive pop collection along with quality backing tracks from Coldplay to Michael Jackson.The pop music industry is an ever growing area that is requested at events.
With a passion for ensemble work Rachel a member of Joe Broughton’s Conservatoire Folk Ensemble playing in festivals such as Shambala, Towersey, The Greenman Festival, The Fairport Convention to an audience of 20,000 and the highlight so far the Royal Albert Hall for the last night of the Music For Youth Proms. She also received tuition in string quartet playing over six years studying at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She is now available to be booked as a quartet player and as a folk fiddler.
